Replacement Parts — The Right Part for Your System
Ordering the wrong replacement part is the most common and most preventable mistake in VED maintenance. Tension rings and O-rings are different components with different functions; cylinders have brand-specific connection types that are not interchangeable; ring numbering systems changed between manufacturing generations. Tension Rings — Erection Maintenance (What Most People Need)
Tension rings are the silicone rings placed at the base of the penis after vacuum therapy to maintain the erection. These are the rings included with every VED kit and the most commonly replaced accessory. Each ring lasts approximately 20–30 uses before the material tension changes enough to require replacement. Maximum wear: 30 minutes per session. Water-based lubricant only — oil-based products degrade silicone ring material. Replacement tension rings are available for Pos-T-Vac and Vacurect systems:
Pos-T-Vac Ultimate II Round Rings — 5 sizes (RNDX, RND01–RND04). Silicone & gel blend. Looped handles. Latex-free. HCPCS E1399. Made in USA. Sold individually — select your size. The standard ring included with the MVP 700 and Automatic 2000.
Vacurect Tension Ring Replacement — All 11 sizes available individually. Size imprinted on ring. Fits Vacurect Models 1001 and 1002. Important: numbering changed February 2011 — old #16–#32 = new sizes 9 through X-L. Check the cross-reference table on the product page before ordering.
O-Rings — Internal Pump Maintenance (Different from Tension Rings)
O-rings are not tension rings. O-rings are internal sealing components that maintain the vacuum inside the pump mechanism. They are not worn at the base of the penis. If you need rings to maintain your erection, you need tension rings (above), not an O-ring kit.
Vacurect O-Ring Kit — Internal pump maintenance components for Vacurect systems. 5-component kit. Requires System Oil (sold separately). Used to restore vacuum seal integrity in the pump mechanism after extended use.
Replacement Cylinders
Cylinders should be replaced when cracked, visibly cloudy, or no longer creating a consistent vacuum seal. Cylinder connection types are not interchangeable between systems — confirm your system uses a twist-lock connection before ordering the Pos-T-Vac twist cylinder (the MVP 700 uses a slip cylinder and is not compatible).
Pos-T-Vac Twist Cylinder — Standard (2"×8") or Large (2.25"×10" with large loading cone). For Pos-T-Vac twist-lock systems: Automatic 3000, Automatic 2000, Manual 3000. Not compatible with slip systems (MVP 700). OEM Timm Medical replacement.
